Summary

 the fur trade helped develop north America because all of the people coming to the new world to build the colnies also had help form the  the cour de bois(runners of the woods) made forts of stone brick/stone.

Positive

1. helped first nations get iron goods 
2. helped brithish,french,european get furs for hats
3. got the british tons of money
4. built canada
5. cleared the mass of bison(good for european bad for first naitons)

Negative

1. beaver almost went extincted
2. one of first nations leaders and his sons went to Europe and died because of lack of immunity to European illnesses
3. european stole first nations slaves
4.  lots of conflict between Britain,France and spain
5. changed lifestyle of first nations because they would now have iron goods

i think that the overall impact was good and bad. it was good because it helped develop the new world then later north/south america. but it was bad because it almost wiped out the first nations bison and beaver.
